I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
